The Interfaith Pre-Conference will be held 2-days prior to The International AIDS Conference, which is held every two years and draws more than 20,000 people working in the field of HIV, as well as people living with HIV, policy makers and others committed to ending the epidemic. It provides extensive opportunities for sharing and networking across all levels of care and response to the epidemic. The 19th International AIDS Conference will take place in Washington DC from 22–27 July 2012.
The event will bring together some 750 religious leaders, faith-based representatives, young people and people living with HIV from around the world under the common theme of health, dignity and justice. Pre-conference sessions will focus on the response to HIV from faith contexts, advocacy and on the ground responses.
